You are the Diabolical Dr. Cricklash!  Worldly infamous MAD SCIENTIST!

You and your partner (the equally insane, Dr. Rotson) have recently made a breakthrough and discovered that all life forms contain something called "DNA".  Without going too deep into the details, it allows you to take a closer look at the building blockss to life!  You immediatly went to work with messing with it, seeing if you could swap strands of DNA between different animals.

The project is a success (though, at the cost of some innocent creatures).

This science will surely be of use to the pentagon!  And what is the point of being a mad scientist if you don't get governments of the world to pay you insane levels of cash for weapons? Heck, if they don't pay you, you just turn to supervillainy to pay the bills.

Well, you're partner has the same idea, and he thinks he knows how to make a better creature than you,

Pffft. What a nerd.

So it became a little wager:  You both attempt to create the ultimate life form, and pit them in battle against each other, winner takes the credit.

Now go out there and build a better critter!

Made for the Godot Wild Jam # 77

Naturally, since it was made as part of a weeklong jam, there's some minor bugs.  One of which I think is worth mentioning that while I couldn't fully, there is an issue where sometimes, either your own, or your opponents turn won't fully end despite all creatures taken their turns.  You can press spacebar to force someone's turn to end and push it forward if this ever happens.  It doesn't break like this often, but if you play it for any half-decent amount of time, you likely will encounter it.  It's not gamebreaking, but I'm sorry if you encounter it.
